What actually happens in a home organizing session
Home organizing is mostly practical work. You spend a few hours sorting through a space, with someone there to keep the process moving instead of facing the whole thing alone on a Saturday.
We organize three kinds of space: closets, the pantry and kitchen cabinets and drawers, and garages. Each is priced on its own, and you can book one without the others.
You have to be there for the sorting
Plan to be there for this part. We empty the space and sort through it with you because only you can decide what should stay.
Nothing gets thrown away or donated unless you approve it. That includes the old shirt and the bread maker you haven't used in years. We ask, you make the call, and the sorting continues.
Your job is making the decisions. We handle the wiping, grouping, folding and labeling.
Closets, $50 to $200
Everything comes out. Shelves and rods get wiped, the floor gets vacuumed. Then we sort with you into keep, donate and toss.
What stays goes back grouped by type, hung or folded, with shoes lined up. If you want bins and labels, we'll use them. The donation bags leave with us.
Pantry, kitchen cabinets and drawers, $30 to $100
The process is similar here. Everything comes out, the shelves and drawers are wiped, and we sort the contents with you.
Expired food goes out with your OK. What's left gets grouped by type, with the things you reach for daily put where you can actually reach them. Containers and labels if you want them.
It's the cheapest of the three, and it's the space you open several times a day.

Garage, $100 to $300
Sorted into keep, donate and toss, then what stays gets grouped into zones so like things live together. We arrange it on the shelves you already have, label the bins, and sweep the floor at the end.
Donation bags go with us. Trash stays with you for your regular pickup, since a garage clear-out usually produces more than a cleaning company can take.
Bins and baskets
Buy your own or let us bring them. If we supply them, bins, baskets and labels run $25 to $100, billed at cost, so you're paying what we paid.
Many spaces don't need extra containers at all. An overfull closet may simply need fewer things in it, so it helps to see the empty space before buying anything.
What we won't do
There are three limits to know before the session starts:
- We don't install anything. No shelving, no hooks, no closet systems. We organize into what's already on your walls.
- We don't move heavy furniture, appliances or equipment.
- We don't haul your trash. Donations leave with us. Everything else waits for your regular pickup.
If the space needs a closet system before organizing would be useful, we'll point that out during the estimate instead of after the work has started.
Booking one
Organizing is priced per space, so tell us which areas you're considering and we'll price them during the free in-home estimate. Looking at the actual closet gives us information a phone call doesn't.
Tell us what frustrates you most about the space, too. That has more effect on how we put it back together than the choice of bins.
