How often should you have your house cleaned?
One schedule doesn't fit every home. The main difference among the three options is when the detail work happens, while the regular cleaning checklist stays consistent.
Every visit covers the same checklist
Each schedule uses the same regular cleaning checklist:
- Counters, sinks and backsplash
- Appliances inside and outside, with a light clean inside the fridge
- Showers, tubs, tile walls, mirrors and toilets
- Furniture, decorations and lamp shades dusted
- Carpets, rugs, chairs and couches vacuumed
- Hard floors vacuumed and damp mopped
- Sliding door tracks and the inside glass
- The front door and entry
- Beds made if you want them made
The checklist doesn't shrink because one schedule costs less per visit.
The difference is when the details get done
The details are the jobs that don't need doing every week: chandeliers, fan blades, AC vents, cobwebs, window sills and ledges, doors and door frames, baseboards, blinds and shutters, light switches and outlets.
On weekly service those rotate through the month. The 1st and 3rd visits cover chandeliers, fans, vents and cobwebs. The 2nd and 4th cover sills, ledges, doors, frames, baseboards, blinds, shutters, switches and outlets.
On every two weeks, the same two groups alternate from one visit to the next.
On monthly service, all of it gets done every single time. One visit a month, and the detail work comes with it.

What it costs per month
Starting prices for a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home:
| Schedule | Per visit | Visits per month | Roughly per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weekly | From $180 | 4 or 5 | $720 to $900 |
| Every two weeks | From $200 | 2 | $400 |
| Monthly | From $220 | 1 | $220 |
Monthly costs the most per visit and the least per month. Weekly costs the least per visit and the most per month. A 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home runs $220, $240 and $260 for the same three schedules. How to choose a schedule
Base the decision on what happens between cleaning visits instead of how the house looks today.
Young children, indoor pets and frequent guests can undo a cleaning faster. Those are also the kinds of things that can raise the price, and they are practical reasons to schedule visits more often.
A home with two working adults, or one that stays quiet for long stretches, can generally hold up between visits two weeks apart.
Monthly service fits a home that tends to stay tidy and needs an occasional reset more than ongoing upkeep. It also includes every detail on each visit, which matters if things such as fans and baseboards are your main concern.
If you're unsure, start with more time between visits and adjust from there. Moving from monthly to every two weeks is straightforward once you see how the house holds up. Unneeded weekly service is easier to keep paying for without noticing.
The first visit is usually a deep clean
Whatever schedule you pick, the first visit is usually a deep clean, from $300. It covers everything in a regular visit plus all the detail work at once, so the recurring visits start from a clean baseline instead of chasing a backlog. In a two-story home it also takes in the stairs, handrails and banisters.
From there, the recurring schedule maintains that baseline.
What stays the same
We bring all supplies and equipment, on every visit, on every schedule. If something isn't right, tell us within 72 hours and we'll come back and touch it up at no charge. And the price is set at a free in-home estimate, not over the phone, because a house tells us things a checklist can't.
